Lenten Haiku

the world weighs heavy our brokenness wearies us and yet God is here
we hunger and thirst
longing to be satisfied
abundance is here
having received
we freely share what we have
God’s abundant life
shadows threaten us
darkness presses on all sides
God’s light continues
life comes as a gift
whether we notice or not
it’s time to rejoice
God's love shining through
filling our lives and our world
our response is praise
- Easter -new life out of death?
it seems so improbable
surprise! God is here!
