I wish this was a bad dream
Because then we could wake up
When did the world start slipping sideways
With all our values spilling out
They say that war’s the only option
He must be stopped at any cost
Why is it that such decisions
Are always made beyond our grasp
Storm clouds gathering around us
Growing darker by the hour
I wonder what we’ll find here
When the tempest’s fury is finally spent
In the face of war’s momentum
It seems so futile to protest
I know it’s not a bad dream
But maybe there’s still hope that we’ll wake up
